Last weekend
our whole Worthy Book team went to FRIM (Forest Research Institute of Malaysia)
at Kepong, near Kuala Lumpur. We went there to enjoy ourselves and to
reinvigorate our minds.
FRIM is the
second largest forest in Malaysia, with six distinct types of woodland and
abundant bird, animal and insect life. It has four main walking trails running
through it, as well as jogging and mountain biking tracks, wildlife
watch-towers, traditional Malay wooden houses, botanical gardens, picnic areas,
and even spots to go for a dip. We chose mountain biking.

best way to pedal
The
air was fresh and cool and among us, Edmund was the most athletic. All of us
tried to catch up with him but his stamina is way too good. There were many
kids playing in the water and there were even 2 pairs of couples taking wedding
photos in the woods!
Here are the mountain
bike trails
Did you know that FRIM is one of the
leading institutions in tropical forestry research in the world. It is also declared
as a National Heritage on 10 May 2012.
After 2 hours of adventurous and tiring cycling, all
of us had brunch (nasi lemak, mi goreng, kuih muih, teh ais, limau ais)
together then headed home. This is honestly the best way to enjoy yourself over
the weekend and we wish to go there again in the future.
