In 2021, due to Covid-19 Pandemic, Worthy Book has skipped the traditional Chinese New Year Dinner, or 'Shou Gong' Dinner. And this year, the company has decided to resume this tradition and have a great CNY dinner for the employees.
This meal is very meaningful as it stands for eat for wealth, luck and prosperity. It's a dinner where we celebrate with fellow colleagues the end of 2021 and hope for great success in the new year.
Worthy Book held the annual CNY Dinner on 7 January 2022 (Friday) at Dolly Dim Sum (Nu Sentral). Besides celebrating the new year, it also gives a chance for the non-Chinese to know more about Chinese Traditional dishes. More importantly, it's Halal and everyone can enjoy the dishes.
The dinner started at 7pm and everyone is excited for the dinner. While waiting the dishes to be served, colleagues share their experience of having dim sum. And for those who never tried before, getting more excited to have a try on the dim sum later.
The main dish is the Royal Golden Fried Rice. It was surprisingly nice and get high recommendations from our colleagues. The very essence of shrimp perfectly compliments rice.
Then, the waiter serves the dim sum dishes, such as Siew Mai, Har Gao, Salad Prawn Dumpling, Pan-Fried Radish Cake, BBQ Chicken Cheong Fun, 'Bolo' Coconut Bun and Baked Mini Egg Tart.
